FISH Spreadsheet

This spreadsheet is designed for use with the FISH Fluency Screener for struggling older readers. It replaces the need for complex formula calculation and graphing.

FISH is an efficient way to identify where phonic code breaks down. A guide to where to start intervention using Read3 is calculated on the spreadsheet. If you are not using Read3, details on how to match Read3 steps to specific phonic code is included with the FISH Screener.

This product contains a digital spreadsheet only.
FISH fluency stories are not included with this product.

Features of the spreadsheet include: 

• a separate tab for each year level
• pre-loaded fluency norms per year level for beginning, middle and end of year
• a colour-coded, printable summary of student results per year level
• a visual indicator per story if the oral reading fluency is at benchmark, below benchmark, or needs to be monitored
• an additional red flag to alert you if reading accuracy is below an appropriate rate.
