Collection: Literacy Screeners

Are you aware of your student's strengths and weaknesses when it comes to literacy?

CHIPS (Check How I Process Screener) examines the underlying processing skills of a beginner reader to determine if they are at-risk of long-term reading challenges. Areas screened include Phonological Awareness, Letter-Sound Knowledge, Phonological Working Memory (Digit Span), and Rapid Automatised Naming. Designed for students up to 8 years.

FISH (Fluency Indicators in a Story Hierarchy) enables you to check phonics skills and reading fluency in older struggling readers using a series of sequential decodable stories. Check results against Oral Fluency Norms and identify an appropriate point for targeted literacy intervention. Designed for students aged 8 years and over.
